"The Portrait" is a song composed by James Horner for the film Titanic, initially meant to score Jack sketching Rose wearing The Heart of the Ocean necklace. The original cue is entirely electronic, consisting of synth voices, synth strings, atmospheric effects, and a synth guitar. In the final film, a piano demo originally titled "Sketch" was used for this scene in place of what Horner intended. A more proper recording of the piano solo, performed by a professional pianist, was released on Back to Titanic under the same title, and is also the third track on disc three of the 20th anniversary soundtrack. The piano demo used in the film is the eleventh track on disc three, and is titled "Piano Theme - The Portrait"[citation needed]
