Charles Victor Groves was the third officer for the SS Californian in 1912.
Biography[]
On April 14, 1912, Groves had listened to Jack Phillips' message of disgust to radio operator Cyril Evans and later went outside on deck to watch the ice as Evans turned in to his stateroom.

- Charles Groves was portrayed by Peter J. White in James Cameron's Titanic, but his scenes were cut from the theatrical version and was uncredited. However, he can still be seen in the film's deleted scenes.
